Perhaps the council members don't like HOAs either which is why they chose plastic pink flamingos for their official bird??? Kudos to them for thinking outside the box. ;-))
I think every home in America should have a pink flamingo in their front yards. Mine is faded so needs to be replaced with a nice bright, eye catching pink one.

I've gotta get a couple of these, myself. The local historical society sells them. :)
