Bill Text 26th Legislature: Alaska's state sovereignty resolution
Bill Text 26th Legislature: "BE IT RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature hereby claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution serves as Notice and Demand to the federal government to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers."
------------
This is the meat of the resolution that Sarah Palin just signed. The Palin haters are doing their usual thing over this, saying only one other governor has been dumb enough to sign it. However, it was passed unanimously by both houses of the Alaska legislature, so what was she supposed to do--veto it?

Does that mean we can stop shipping tax dollars from the other 49 states to Alaska?
