Fannie Mae Ignored Foreclosure Misdeeds, Report Says - NYTimes.com
Fannie Mae, the mortgage finance giant, learned as early as 2003 of extensive foreclosure abuses among the law firms it had hired to remove troubled borrowers from their homes. But the company did little to correct the firms’ practices, according to a report issued Tuesday.

I just sent this very info to some in elected positions, press, advocacy etc...in Pennsylvania.
I am posting what I sent to some (see email addresses, to list.) Apparently, the PA Governor, Tom Corbett, had a very nice prayer breakfast (Prayer breakfast packs 'em in, including Gov. Corbett, ESPN,http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20111005/NEWS/110050329)
at Camelback Mountain, so I hope the discussion "at breakfast," was about fraudulent foreclosures, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

GOSH, I HOPE THE GOVERNOR HAD A GOOD BREAKFAST AND THIS WAS THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: 2003 FANNIE and FRAUDULENT FORECLOSURES..AND HOW ABOUT THE FRAUDULENT HOA/COA/CID FORECLOSURES...THAT ARE ILLEGAL IN PA?
My opinion and experience is that "THEY," and MANY "THEY'S" have known about the HOA/COA fraudulent foreclosures before 2003. Government agencies, elected officials, + ...and many press. Even, homeowners who had no contractual relationship....What about the innocent and unsuspecting homeless homeowners? Yes, sure denial works, if it is not YOU! How about some legitimate investigations in areas of Pennsylvania where these horrible and destructive acts have occurred? Those predators need and deserve to be held accountable. There is so much "entitlement," today..Yes, far too much and typically from those who have no "entitlement,"but do commit such horrific acts aginst the innocent, vulnerable and unsuspecting. The thieves, thugs bully's and property predators, etc...
The homeowner, the bill payer, is entitled to justice.
