FL Officer, Community Spar Over Patriotic Display
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - A South Florida police official is fighting his homeowner association's request that he remove a patriotic display from his garage door.

No signs allowed including "God Bless America" spelled out in little magnets.

The reason for this ban is that a display such as "God Bless America" indicates a greater loyalty to an entity other than the HOA and CAI. It even suggests that "God" and "America" are more important than the adhesion contract that Mr. Milenkovic "agreed" to when he voluntarily joined the HOA union.
In addition to property values, such attitudes also threaten the sense of community that we, in cooperation with your corporate Board of Directors volunteers, have worked so hard to create for you unworthy ingrates.
