New home sales drop 2.2 percent in Feb. to new low

New home sales drop 2.2 percent in Feb. to new low: "The Commerce Department reported Wednesday that new home sales fell 2.2 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual sales pace of 308,000.

It was the fourth consecutive month of declines and the worst showing on records dating to 1963."

-------
The figures for Chicagoland showed prices up, but sales down.

"New home sales"...hmmm... say aren't all those in HOAs? So much for the desirability of HOA-burdened property. Tenants in an apartment have more rights and liberties than owners burdened by an HOA.

Recent events should provide interesting data on the factors that affect property values, if any scholar is serious about studying the issue.

I'm not suprised that New home sales drop 2.2 percent in Feb. I live in Low Income Apartments in Maryland and I feel I can move on up to the east side.

Thanks for the great post!!
