Foreclosures Pick Pockets of Homeowners Associations - washingtonpost.com: "If you live in a neighborhood that has a homeowners association, brace yourself. Oh, and did we neglect to mention that there is even a threat that you will get socked with a five-figure special assessment?

Thank heavens my hoa has so little to offer! No clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, gated entryway . . . just a meager little playground, a fence and some shrubbery. We were shabby from the get-go. :)
