Local HOAs get scammed | www.theacorn.com | The Acorn: "Daphne Ann Brenon, 53, a property manager working for a Westlake Village firm, pleaded guilty last week to stealing funds from two area homeowners associations.

From 1998 to 2004, Brenon was the property manager for the Spanish Hills Homeowners Association in Camarillo. Following an investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the California Franchise Tax Board, Brenon was arrested for stealing more than $400,000 from the HOA. According to the Ventura County District Attorney’s office, she set up a scheme that allowed unauthorized checks to be written to her and her employer, Dahl Davis Inc."

At least the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department cared enough tom investigate. Where I come from any of these deranged, family hating power mongers, and their "associate," can file a fabricated charge, and no one will lift a finger to investigate this fraud!

How many "isolated instances" does it take to establish "standard operating procedures"?
