Right, wrong...who cares. The important point is...THE DEBATE IS OVER, YOU TSUNAMI-DENIERS!

  1. You call 3-foot waves a tsunami?

  3. Many institutions limit access to their online information. Making this information available will be an asset to all.

  4. See, the point was that here we have yet another scientific consensus to the effect that doom is on the way. And what came of it? Nada. They were wrong. But if you read the story, the scientists say they had an absolute moral obligation to sound the alarm. Sound familiar?

  5. OK, I realize that you're poking fun at the global warming alarmists, and I haven't read all of the details about the tsunami warning decision.

But there's a big difference between being a scam alarmist and demanding that the world wreck its economy for something that may happen a few decades down the road, and having only a few hours notice to warn people of a disaster which has actually happened in the recent past.

When you have only a few hours, there's no time to publish papers. Also, unlike the global warming scam alarmist, I don't think anyone financially or politically benefited from the tsunami alert.
